“Legacy responded promptly to my inquiry, and even noted the photos I had attached with the notes! Very up front about cost and time estimates… my new fan doesn't rock and looks good too!”
Why we started Legacy Electric.
When my family started this company, we weren't trying to become another electrical contractor. We wanted to build the company we'd want in our own house — one that answers the phone, gives you the price before it starts, turns up when it said it would, and cleans up before it leaves.
Our family's electrical story began with my father, the late Carl Goss. He was raised on a farm in rural Mississippi, earned his degree in Electrical Engineering from Mississippi State, held his licence in several states, and founded Goss Electric — an industrial and commercial contractor — more than 45 years ago.
The most important thing he handed down wasn't the business. It was the work ethic: your name is attached to every job. So do it properly, keep your word, and treat the customer's property with respect.
Tina, Dalton and I started Legacy to carry that into North Alabama homes and businesses. We named it Legacy because that's exactly what it is — his. The big contractors chase the big jobs; we built a service company on purpose, so a single faulty outlet gets the same treatment as a new panel.
Whether you need one outlet repaired, a fuse box replaced, lighting for your business, or somebody at eleven at night, the goal doesn't change: fix it properly and give you the kind of job you'd feel comfortable recommending to your neighbour.
